GE VMIVME5576 Fiber Optic Reflective Memory Board

GE VMIVME5576 is a 6U single-height VMEbus fiber reflective memory board developed by VMIC (GE Intelligent Platforms). It realizes ultra-low-latency shared memory communication among distributed VME nodes through fiber links. Once data is written to local SRAM, it will be broadcast to all other nodes on the network automatically, with transparent transmission for host CPU and no extra I/O overhead.

This module supports up to 256 network nodes, with onboard SRAM configurable from 256KB to 1MB. It supports hardware interrupt synchronization between nodes, widely used in turbine control, real-time simulation and hardware-in-loop test systems, and it is a classic spare for legacy VME distributed control racks.
