KONGSBERG MRU-E-JB1 is a dedicated marine junction box for MRU-E series motion reference unit (MRU). It serves as the signal interface terminal box, connecting MRU-E motion sensor with ship control system, power supply and serial communication lines, responsible for signal routing and overvoltage protection in harsh offshore environments.
This JB1 junction box is IP65 marine enclosure, compatible with 4th generation MRU-E and backward compatible with 5th generation MRU sensors, but only supports serial communication (COM2 and analog outputs are unavailable). It is obsolete legacy hardware, widely supplied as surplus or refurbished spare parts for offshore vessel and platform motion monitoring system maintenance.
