EATON 8922-RB-IS (MTL) is a railbus intrinsically safe isolator module, designed to separate hazardous area and safe area for MTL 8000 series IS system. It provides galvanic isolation for railbus communication data lines, limiting energy transfer to explosion-proof field circuits and enabling reliable digital data transmission between I.S. modules and backplane host system.
This module is DIN rail mountable, ATEX / IECEx certified for intrinsically safe applications. It works with 8230-AI-IS and other 8000 series I.S. I/O modules, supporting multi-channel field signal collection. It is legacy explosion protection automation hardware, supplied as surplus or refurbished spare parts for petrochemical plant safety system maintenance and upgrade.
